Syra Yousuf- difficult to define and impossible to resist. A celebrated Pakistani actress, model and philanthropist, Syra has worked relentlessly since her debut in the entertainment industry to earn great recognition and esteem in the eyes of the nation. 

Starting her career in 2006 as a VJ at MTV Pakistan hosting Bheja Fry and Most Wanted, Syra embarked upon a journey leading to her acting debut in Hum TV serial of 2011, "Mera Naseeb." In 2012, she appeared in the serial "Tanhaiyan Naye Silsilay", a sequel of the Pakistani serial "Tanahaiyan" alongside Marina Khan, Badre Khalil, and Behroze Sabzwari. The following year, she appeared in  the role of Aleena in "Darmiyaan." She acted in a drama serial titled Pasheman as Zartaasha with her husband on Express Entertainment.  Her elegant portrayal of character Arzoo Daniels, a Christian female cadet inducted into the Pakistan Military Academy amid great societal and financial obstacles, in recent drama serial "Sinf-e-Ahan" showcased the true depth and breadth of Syra's on-screen range, talent and tireless work ethic, lauding her much praise from critics and fans alike.  (For more details on Syra's TV drama serials, click here.)

In addition to her many TV projects, Syra has added some notable feature films to her acting portfolio. Her easy-going, affable nature and wholesome girl-next-door vibe landed her the lead of a light-hearted rom-com, "Chalay Thay Saath" produced by Hot Water Bottle Films, giving her the perfect debut into the movie arena.  Her next film, "Project Ghazi", released in 2019 as Pakistan's first sci-fi action thriller, depicted Syra in the role of a serious scientist, co-starring with superstars Humayun Saeed and Sheheryar Munawar.  Her most recent film venture, Babylicious, released in 2023 is an enjoyable, frothy rom-com featuring Syra and Shehroz Sabzwari as the lead couple.  With its stellar performances, high-value production sets, and exceedingly catchy music numbers (especially the wedding song, "Ghazab Kuriye"), the film has received glowing reviews thus far.   (Please feel free to check out her film portfolio here.)

As one of the most sought-after beauties of the country, Syra has appeared in over 50 TV commercials for several global brands (including Pepsi, Coca Cola, Lays, Fair & Lovely, Nestle, Lipton, Tetley),  as well as a plethora of prestigious local brands / organizations  (i.e. Olper's, Bank Al-Habib, Tapal Danedar, Bisconni). Her unparalleled bone structure, ethereal features and natural charisma in front of the camera, contribute to her vast success as a model, evidenced by her countless appearances in fashion photoshoots for top-tier designers and labels (including Asim Jofa, Zara Shahjahan, HSY, Sapphire, and Al Karam amongst many others.)  A modern, progressive visionary and unwavering humanitarian to the core, Syra is a vocal advocate of female rights, access to high quality education and vocational training for all.   She has actively contributed her time and resources to many charitable organizations in the past, and is currently working tediously to launch an NGO concerned with the vocational training of women hailing from underprivileged areas of Karachi, giving them  unimaginable opportunities and a fighting chance to survive these challenging economic times.
